This week, Evan talks with filmmaker Victoria Negri. Victoria is an award-winning multi-hyphenate filmmaker/actress. Her just released feature directorial debut, Gold Star, which she wrote, directed, produced, and starred in, alongside Oscar nominated actor Robert Vaughn in his last on-screen performance, premiered at the Buffalo International Film Festival October 2016 as the Opening Night film, where it won the Audience Award. It is currently on the festival circuit. Most recently, Victoria won the Lisa Blount Memorial Award for Acting at the Oxford Film Festival. Gold Star was selected by incubator Big Vision Empty Wallet as an Inaugural Kickstart Diversity Film and participated in their prestigious Distribution Lab. Additionally, Victoria has produced and assistant directed numerous short films, music videos and webseries featured at: Cleveland Film Festival, Queens World Festival, NY WebFest, IndieWorks, Nitehawk Shorts Festival and more. She has acted in award-winning features, shorts and webseries featured at: Cinequest Film Festival, Clermont-Ferrand, Tribeca and more. She is a proud member of The Film Fatales, NYWIFT and The FilmShop.
